Book Review: Himalayan Blunder – the curtain raiser to the Sino-Indian war of 1962!

It is said that some books are to be tasted, some to be swallowed, while some to be chewed and digested. Today I am writing a review of a book titled ‘  Himalayan Blunder – The Curtain Raiser to the Sino-Indian war of 1962’, which according to me is a book which should be chewed and digested.
Himalayan Blunder – The Curtain Raiser to the Sino-Indian war of 1962, is a book regarding the reasons why India lost the 1962 war to China very terribly. It is written by Brigadier J.P. Dalvi, who had worked in the army headquarters in 1950s, and before and during the 1962 war, was at two of the most prominent battlefronts of the war – serving atLadakh and then later at Western Arunachal Pradesh[known as NEFA(NorthEast Frontier Agency) at that time] which makes him highly qualified to write this book. In the book, he gives a firsthand account of the war. Because working in the Army Headquarters gave him an insider’s view of the decay of our defence preparedness, and then serving at two fronts as a Brigadier gave him a firsthand view of it’s consequences for our army ,and ultimately for India. He was also taken prisoner by the chinese for 7 months.
Himalayan Blunder is not an ordinary book. Because the subject it covers is not ordinary, and neither is the writer. . We come across dozens of books in our life, but only a few can shake the reader’s conscience and soul like this book does.
The first part of the book, deals with our negligence, when we had enough time to correct ourselves. Every disaster gives warnings, but you should have the will to heed to those warnings. Our FIRST and BIGGEST warning with respect to China came in 1950, when Tibet, an INDEPENDENT COUNTRY, which was a large one, was attacked and annexed by China. Before 1950,only the Northern part of Aksai Chin in Ladakh shared border with China, while the rest of today’s Indo-China border was Indo-Tibetan border. Thus,Tibet was a buffer zone, between India and China, which was now lost. Sardar Patel wrote a warning letter to PM Nehru on this issue, which was then ignored by him.
This part of the book deals with India’s position regarding China in the 1950s, of India’s international support to China based on Nehru’s false hopes of creating an Asian axis and how, India wasted crucial years of the 1950s by doing very little to modernize its army. Nehru then refused to accept China as a threat, and thus you can guess the seriousness of Indian government in dealing with it. It was only when two border incidents took place between China and India in 1959,that India began half-hearted and highly inadequate effort to deal with the Chinese threat. This part also discusses the ‘forward policy’ which was forced upon the army, and was a significant reason of India’s defeat.
In the second part, the book moves forward to the early 1960s, and covers India’s half-hearted and incomplete defence of the border with China, and the positions of the two armies in early 1962. The account given by the author is so good that your eyes and mind are actually transported to that era and you start living that era.
In the third, fourth and fifth part, the book deals with the most significant incident just before full-fledged conflict started. China launched a full scale invasion on 20th October 1962, but it intruded into India on 8th September 1962,near Tawang in western Arunachal Pradesh. The author of this book was at the very front where this intrusion happened, and this part forms the core of the book. How India handled this situation is discussed here. He clearly showed how the total disconnect of the then Mr. Prime Minister, top army officers and other decision takers in New Delhi with the situation on the ground lead to a series of wrong decisions one after the other and put Indian soldiers on the front in such a terrible mess and their lives in danger. Such descriptionwould tear apart the readers’ heart upon reading. Many soldiers died due to these wrong decisions and games being played by the upper brass of the army and top political leaders of the Country. I refrain from naming the persons responsible for this mess here as the readers will find them upon reading the book. This book ends with full-fledged Chinese invasion on 20th October 1962 and the death of several soldiers and capture of the author and few others.
And finally, the last part of the book, deals with all the reasons behind all the wrong decisions ie. what caused the people in power at that time to take all those disastrous decisions. This is the best thing about the author’s character. He could have easily ended by just narrating the reasons and blaming the people who took them, but he did not. Also, the disastrous consequences of this war for India, and how India took its lessons from this war are discussed here.
Overall, I would say this book is a must read for all Indians who can read English or Kannada – the two languages the book is available in also more because this book also deals with the role citizens have to play in the defence of their country, of their attitude towards their armed forces and their political leaders.
To sum up, this book gives mixed feelings to a patriot’s heart. You feel immense respect for those soldiers, who despite innumerable difficulties including outdated weaponry, improper clothes, without proper rations and absence of supporting infrastructure like roads, fought against a well-equipped army of the chinese. Your heart empathizes and cries for those soldiers and on the other hand, you feel anger towards those people responsible for the mess. But most importantly, you will feel a strong resolve within yourself, that WHAT HAPPENED TO INDIAN ARMY AND INDIA BETWEEN 1950 AND 1962 MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN AGAIN.
The consciousness of ordinary citizens in this regard, is the most important contribution of this book. Like the author says in the beginning of the book – “1962 was a National failure of which every Indian is guilty. It was a Himalayan Blunder at all levels.”

The Vyapam murders ! Why the conspiracy isn't what it appears to be !?

The Vyapam murders ie. murders related and claimed to be related to the Vyapam scam , seem to be shaking our Country !! Rightly so , because it is rare for so many people to disappear in a scam , that too one like Vyapam which is not so big in financial terms , ie. in terms of loss to the exchequer But the way things are taking shape does raise certain doubts that these murders seem to be a big conspiracy - not against the victims alone , but also against a performing state government , undoubtedly amongst India's best !! Here's Why....

1) This scam is not something which has happened recently only. It is something which has been happening right since the tenure of Arjun Singh as Madhya Pradesh CM. , and continued right into Digvijay Singh's tenure as well . The first case was reported in 1995 , and the first FIR was in 2000.
Thus ,this clearly signifies Congress involvement in the scam as well . But yet , the media is portraying as if congress isnt involved in this scam.

2) The first investigations were set up , after the local audit found financial and administrative irregularities in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board [MPPEB] , in 2007 - during tenure of Shivraj SIngh Chauhan as CM. it was only then ,that a committee was set up to probe the irregularities ! It was this committee that in its report said that several candidates had passed exams by impersonation.

3) The investigations were than passed on to special task force [STF], leading to a total of 200 arrests , including that of Laxmikant Sharma , who was former education minister of MP ,and from BJP. On November 5, 2014, Madhya Pradesh High Court rejected the Congress leader Digvijay Singh's petition for CBI probe and instead ordered setting up of a special investigation team (SIT) to act as a watchdog for the court. The SIT is a 3-member team chaired by Justice Chandresh Bhushan, a retired Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Point to be noted here is , that , it is being projected in the media that the current government of Shivraj Singh Chauhan is not going to the CBI . Whereas the truth is that Madhya Pradesh High Court rejected CBI enquiry. Why is then lie being spread by media ??? Also , how is congress again demanding CBI enquiry from the government even after HC rejected it ??

4) As mentioned earlier , the scam has been happening since the tenure of Arjun Singh , and thus , the beneficiaries of this scam , that is the undeserving candidates who got admissions n postings through malpractises in exams , is huge. The number is in thousands - as the tenure of the scam is atleast 2 decades ! Making it difficult for police to give them round the clock protection , and thus making them easy targets !!

5) Out of nearly 47 deaths [out of 1000s of witnesses/benficiaries] that have taken place , none of the deaths have taken place in police or judicial custody . That is none of the 200 people arrested have died . All those who have died were killed outside prison. Also , a couple of deaths here have taken place outside Madhya Pradesh. It raises doubt that if indeed state's CM was involved , then how come the arrested people are safe in police custody , considering that India has a history of custodial deaths ??

6) Is it a mere co-incidence that so many people who have died recently , met Digvijay Singh just before their deaths ?? Take for instance - the Aaj Tak reporter Akshay Singh was interviewing victims , but before that , he was with Digvijay Singh ?? What does it indicate ?

7) Like I said before , it was the Madhya Pradesh HC , and not Shivraj Government , which rejected CBI enquiry. In such a case , HC's permission is required for CBI enquiry to take place , which the government has sought again , despite the SIT formed by HC monitoring the enquiries by STF. Why are then half-truths and blatant lies being showed in the media ??

8) Another Fact is that Digvijay Singh presented fake evidence in court. How come no media persons grill him on it ?? Also , how come a person in whose tenure the Vyapam Scam was at its peak, even bothered to produce evidence before court with regards to this scam ??

9) Is it a mere co-incidence that the number of murders has stepped up ever since Sonia Gandhi and her family's name started surfing up in Lalitgate controversies ?? There were murders before , but how come now we see daily murders ? Is it a concpiracy by congress and its puppet media to divert attention and thus protect their mistress ??

It is a fact that state Government of Madhya Pradesh has performed and Shivraj is credited for removing MP from 'Bimaru' states category. Practically , after their 3rd consecutive defeat in the state in 2013, has little issues to raise . Congress has a track record of stooping to the lowest levels to try to bring down BJP governments ! It was congress led mob [leader was from congress] which burnt down a coach of the Sabarmati express at Godhra in 2002 ,killing 59 people ! Considering this history , as well as considering the 9 POINTS MENTIONED ABOVE, and also considering the lies and half truths being perpetrated by media , it seems that congress has once again stooped to that level , to target both Shivraj and ultimately Modi .

Right since the Modi government has been sworn in ,there have been hit-jobs by the media ! We had the rape of a nun ,churches under attack ,muslims being denied job , and God knows what all - which all was blamed on Modi/BJP/RSS , n all of which proved to be false allegations ! And now , this , seems to be the mother of all hit jobs , which is way beyond just words and shouting in studios !

Its disgusting to see such third class level politics being played , people suddenly being killed everyday . And even more disappointing to know , that considering the beneficiaries, thus ultimately witnesses in this case are in thousands ,making police protection to everyone difficult, it might well be a few more deaths before this nonsense ends !!

Freedom Fighter Rash Behari Bose's birthday as an ideal ' Pravasi Bharatiya Divas ' ??

2015 has dawned in ! And India is now looking forward to celebrate ' Pravasi Bharatiya Divas ' , like it does every January !! The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas falls on January 9 , celebrating Gandhiji's return to India with arrival in Mumbai !! It is observed to acknowledge the role of Non Residential Indians in the development of India !! Also , Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award are handed out on this day by the President , to NRIs who have contributed exceptionally to their fields !! With this day , we have atleast 3 days associated with Gandhiji which are observed in India !! We have his birthday 2nd october observed across India as Gandhi Jayanti n International Non-Violence Day , his death anniversary 30th January is observed as Martyr's day , and his return to India as Pravasi Bharatiya Divas !!

While , 1 does not Deny Gandhiji's role in freedom struggle !! It was he who United the Country and made freedom struggle a National Movement !! One may not agree with many of his decision which proved bad for India , but no one can deny this fact !! But , isnt celebrating so many days in his memory , when there were several other freedom fighters who played very important roles in the freedom struggle ??? When we already have a National Holiday on his birthday n already celebrate Gandhi Jayanti , the ideal martyr's day would perhaps , be , 23rd March [ Bhagat Singh , Rajguru and Sukhdev hanged ] !!

I wud like to share here , another idea which has struck my mind ! Why not celebrate the birthday of an NRI freedom fighter who played one of the most crucial , and yet highly undermined and unsung role in the freedom stuggle of India !! His name is usually either missing from Nehruvian history textbooks , or barely appears once to be noticed !! His name , as u may have already read in d title to this post , is Rash Behari Bose !! His birthdate is 25th May , 1886 !! I wud like to explain why his role is 1 of d most crucial in d freedom struggle of India , n thus ,why 25th May wud be an ideal Pravasi Bharatiya Divas !!

Rash Behari Bose was born in a village in Burdwan district ,present day West Bengal , went to school in Chandannagar and earned degrees in medical sciences as well as engineering from France and Germany !!
He was always interested in revolutionary activities , and took active participation in revolutionary activities following partition of Bengal ! He took part in the Alipore Bomb case , in protest against Partition of Bengal !! He attempted to assassinate the then viceroy of India , Lord Hardinge ,
which failed ! he then successfully evaded arrests n took further part in the Ghadar conspiracy , or Ghadar mutiny , which involved a pan-Indian mutiny in the British Indian army !! But this again failed due to British intelligence !! He then had to escape to Japan to evade arrest !! And here his where his crucial role as an NRI freedom fighter starts !!

He stayed with various pan-Asian groups in Japan , n became a citizen in 1923 ! He also married a local ! He started living there as a journalist and writer , during which he kept on developing important contacts ! Thus , when Second World War struck , he , along with A M Nair was instrumental in persuading the Japanese authorities to stand by Indian Nationalists and ultimately to officially support Indian Independence struggle abroad ! He established the ' Indian Independence League ' !! He moved a motion in d league to raise an army for Indian Independence !! During d league's second conference in Bangkok , he invited Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to join d league and take command as its president !!

The Indian Prisoners of War captured by Japanese were then encouraged to join the Indian Independence League and become the soldiers of the ' Azad Hind Fauj ' !! He selected the flag and handed it over to Netaji !

Thus , it was due to his 30 years of efforts as an Indian freedom fighter in Japan , that the INA could be built and Netaji could lead it !! And It was INA under the Netaji that dealt the most crushing blow to the British Empire and shook its pillars [ Army , Navy and Airforce ] , and motivated the Indians in them to protest against British rule !! I would put another blog soon on the role of INA and Netaji and how the British decision to quit India was influenced by them and not by Gandhiji's Quit India !!

Thus , it would be ideal to celebrate May 25 as Pravasi Bharatiya Divas , celebrating the role of this unsung hero Rash Behari Bose , without whose role , perhaps freedom would have never come !!

How Social Media is building a stronger India !!

In our school days , our teachers try to imbibe patriotism in us !! We r made to stand up for National Anthem , National song , sometimes are made to attend 15th August and 26th January celebrations !! There are times when we have to write Essays n give speeches on birthdays of few top leaders !! We may be encouraged to do dramas on annual day !! Thus , in this manner , our schools try to imbibe patriotism within us right since childhood !!

But , then a question arises !! Is that enough ?? We find , that most of us , if not all, on growing up , get lost in the maze of life , and find little time n will to bother much about the country , beyond paying taxes, or voting in elections !! There r several reasons for that !!  Some of us may grow up to join military , para military or police forces ! These forces do serve the country ! But they can give it only security ! The direction in which the country will head , is not determined by them , as their control itself is in the hands of ministers !!

The fact is , that many of us do have d will to serve d country in ways other than what the military/paramilitary forces do !! But what we lack is DIRECTION !! Thats where Social media comes into picture !! The following are some important ways in which social media is helping in building our Nation !!

1) Sharing Of Information - of present and past !!
a) Past

Another problem which arises is that of information !! A patriot , who does not learn from history , may repeat the same mistakes n this may be destructive for the country !! In Congressi India , its a known fact that our history textbooks r not what they should be like !! On the name of " (psuedo) secularism " , our glorious ancient Culture is denied to us !! For instance , we dont find Ramayan n Mahabharat being taught in history books which should be compulsory !! Also , several important facts n must know events of our history are distorted !! Take for instance , barbaric mughal kings n pre mughal muslim kings r glorified in our history , while several Indian heroes and kings do not find their proper place in textbooks !! Most Indians would not know much about historical figures like Chandragupta Maurya, Ashok , Chandragupta 1 ,Samudragupta , Chandragupta Vikramaditya , Harshvardhan , Rajendra Chola n many other figures !! We also dont knwo much about traitors like Jaichand n Shiladitya who betrayed India !! The fake Aryan Dravidian theory is also fed to us which is destructive for India !! Indian history textbooks were manupulated by British to suit their needs , ie to create generations of Indians who r totally detached from their glorious history , without a doubt the most glorious in the world , and can easily be subdued !!

In our bad times , our past achievements motivate us !! The same applies for our Country !! The difference is that an individual's bad times may last for a few years whgile a Country's bad times may span decades , or at times centuries !! But the opportunity to get motivated from our glorious past has been wrongly n largely denied to us by our academic history textbooks , as this would be detrimental to the interest of our rulers !! This also explains , y the history of Independent India is still not a part of history textbooks even 67 years after freedom , despite these 67 years being equally dramatic n significant !!

In the past , the only other sources of unbiased n untwisted history were books !! For instance , comics like Amar Chitra Katha !! But these were not always easily available !! Thats where the role of social media comes into picture !! The internet n social media changed this !! Several sites began appearing on history !! The Videos uploaded on Youtube made history far more varied n interesting than it ever was before !! Also , the concept of blogging and micro-blogging gave several knowledgeable persons an opportunity to share their knowledge of history to people !! Wikipedia gave stunning details of even the smallest events of our History !!

Thus , due to internet n social media , gone are the days that Indians had to be denied their glorious history !! Now , all u require is a mobile phone , a net pack , n a hungry brain !! In the wikipedia era , nothing can prevent u from knowing how Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose , with help from Rash Bihari Bose created INA , or why was Chandragupta Vikramaditya famous ,why India lost the 1962 war to China, or why the age of Guptas was actually the golden period n so on !! There is no dearth of people in Indian history to get inspired from , n this treasure is now available !!

b) Present

Another important contribution of social media is enhancing our knowledge of Current affairs !! As it is well known , most of our mainstream media is biased and paid !! We rarely get a true picture of the current affairs through Paid media !! Also , news channels do not show all the news at the same time !! In this era where time for watching news is scarce , it becomes even more difficult to get a clear picture of affairs around the country !! Thats where internet and social media come into picture !! The internet contains loads of news giving websites !! There are also specific websites which cover special categories of events !! Social media brings such websites to your doorstep !!

But the most important contribution of social media is the growth of citizen journalists !! Social media gives a platform to citizen journalists !! Now , anyone can become a journalist , report news about their area , n sometimes about their fields , n thus help spread the truth !! That is the reason y Mainstream media dreads social media !! Gone are their days of monopoly !! With spread of internet n growth of social media , their influence will reduce in the future !!

2) Unifying people with a common cause

Also , another problem is that it is not always easy to do things alone , most of us will need people to work with us , which we may not always find , in our neighbourhood !! Thats where social media helps !! People with a common cause , common ideological tilt , common passion to bring change , can unite on social media !! For instance , in the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections , many people who would never have known each other came together , n campaigned unitedly , for the political parties they supported !! This was especially helpful for BJP , as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was able to capitualize on the enormous support he had on social media !! Thus , bringing a change in India , has become a step easier now , with the advent of social media !!

3) Direct connect between the leaders n their people

India is a vast country with diverse people , n equally diverse leaders !! The local factors n thus , the local leaders do play an important role in governing the Country !! The airtime of TV/Radio media is limited , and so is the space available on newspapers !! The regular activities of each n every leader , can thus cannot be covered by the mainstream media !! Also , the media usually presents the negative picture of Indian MPs n politicians !! The good work done by an MP/MLA is not usually shown due to the obsession of our media with sensationalizing news !!  All National leaders do not get total coverage , so forget coverage of local leaders !! That's where social media comes to the helm !!

Now , even local political leaders can directly connect to folks across the country without the intermediate mainstream media medium !! Sitting in Mumbai , u can know about the work being done by a minister in new Delhi , or even an MP from Assam , if they use social media !! There's a reason y the Prime Minister advised his ministers to come on social media !! This direct connect between the leaders and the masses helps strengthen our democracy !!

A short history of my journey in social media

I joined social media in 2007 !! In those days , the social media was in its extreme infancy !! The most popular socializing tools on internet in those days were Orkut and Yahoo Messenger !! Both of which I joined upon insistence by a friend !! I created an Orkut Account in September 2007 , forgot its password , n created another 1 in December !! Those were the dayz of my 10th standard !! In those times , economy was doing great , the momentum generated by the previous NDA government was still going strong , and thus , a 10th Std Child had little need to worry about the Country , and as a consequence , little conciousness in this regard !!

But things were soon to change !! As orkutians might remember , unlike facebook , orkut had 'communities' instead of pages !! Orkut had an 'India' community , which had the nickname IC370 ,as that was the last term in its address [link] !! In Communities , we had forum , where anyone could start any topic for discussion n people would discuss on it , and we had polls !! Even in those days , all sorts of current affairs were discussed on Orkut , n thats where my political awakening started !! I realised that Indian history is not the way it has been taught to us , n the current affairs r not the way media is presenting it !! I was a daily attendee of the forums on IC370 , sometimes I myself would start a forum or a poll !!

As the days went by , I kept on realising the misdeeds that are being done n have been done by various political parties , n the upa government !! By the time , General elections of 2009 appeared , I had collected enough material in my head to tell anyone why congress should be voted out and BJP under Advani ji be  brought in !! And when congress won the elections that year , I knew it pretty well , way back in 2009 , before many people had realised it , that this is a DOOM for India !! Even though none of the political leaders or journalists existed on Orkut , it had laid a solid foundation for the future of the changes brought by social media in India !!

2009 was the year when Orkut's influence starting to wane n Facebook started picking up !! And thus , I , who had already opened account in Facebook in April 2008 , also started to use it actively , on daily basis !! Facebook pages and groups , initially were not as interesting as Orkut communities , but nonetheless had the same effect over time !! Several politically knowledgeable people opened facebook pages , n started posting political statuses n articles over them ! thereby only increasing the political acumen of people !! It continues till this day !!

Twitter , which I joined in November 2009 , was a step further !! It introduced the concept of micro-blogging , which brought several celebrities , journalists , citizen journalists and other knowledgeable people from all fields of life to it !! Thus , allowing access to the opinions of a variety of people !! People now could simply write blogs , n post them on twitter , for their followers to read !! Twitter is all about following the right people , who can act as eye openers on various issues !! For instance , the blog mediacrooks is very popular on twitter and it helps u understand Indian mainstream media in and out !! Overtime, on social media , 1 can switch from the one being awakened , to the one who also awakens !! Also , usually , both the processes continue simultaneously !!

Thus ,social media has brought some great positive changes in the Country !! And it is growing stronger with time !!

Shastri,Gandhi jayanti and a clean India !!

Happy Birthday to India's honest prime minister Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri n to the person credited with putting 'life' into Indian Independence movement - Shri Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi !!

Lal Bahadur Shastri took over as prime minister in 1964 , India was at a very crucial stage as Jawaharlal nehru n Krishna menon along with general BM kaul had totally ruined n virtually destroyed Indian army ,due to which China gave a crushing blow to India in 1962 !! Had he and d respected defence minister Yashvantrao Chavan not taken charge n not redeemed the Indian army ,navy n airforce ,India wud have suffered a similar fate at the hands of pakistan in 1965 !! He not only led India to a successful defense against Pakistan , but also when India faced food shortage throughout 1960s ,he asked people to observe fasts on Monday which he himself also did ,and started the green revolution in India !! Had he not been killed ,he wud have led India to far greater heights n achievement s in 1970s than wat India achieved !! His successful murder was d greatest misfortune of Free India !!

As far as Gandhiji is concerned , I am a lot anti-Gandhi ,as several of his stupid decisions n his stubbornness n adamant nature as India's top leader brought a lot of misery n ruin to India ,especially Hindus during n after partition !! But 1 cannot deny the fact that he united d country for d first time into a single struggle against d British !!

But it is utterly wrong to believe that freedom was won with his 'nonviolent' satyagrahas !! The three pillars of British rule in India - Indian Army ,Navy and Airforce were inspired into rebellion against Britain not by Gandhiji but by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army created by him in d most difficult circumstances !! The 3 movements started by Gandhiji , Non-Co-operation ,Civil Disobedience as well as quit India all failed to achieve anything !! Non cooperation was ruined by gandhiji himself in 1922 over just 1 single incident, civil disobedience ended in 1934 and quit India movement too had faded by 1944 !! Had non co-operation n civil disobedience movements not been withdrawn ,India might have been free in 1920s ot by 1930s n gandhiji wud have rightfully got maximum credit for it !! Had it not been for Netaji , the triggers for the British to quit India -Royal Indian Navy mutiny of 1946,Airforce rebellion n massive public outrage against unfair trials to arrested Indian National Army cadres ,India would not have been free in 1947 !!

Thus considering Gandhiji's contribution of uniting India into 1 movement and Lal Bahadur Shastri's contribution of fighting for freedom as well as leading Free India ,lets gift them a Clean India by not littering on streets n public places and not feeling ashamed of cleaning d areas outside our home !!

Those who feel Indians cant achieve cleanliness, have no knowledge of Ancient Indian history and heritage !! In ancient period ,Indian Cities were absolutely clean n tidy like western cities r today !! If we could achieve it then ,we can achieve it now as well !! What we require is d right leadership and right attitude for it !! While we have right leadership now,we need right attitude now !! Jai Hind

BJP's loss in bypolls !! Y 1 cannot blame the Modi factor or Yogi Adityanath and BJP's stand on Love Jihad !!

Just as I had expected , BJP faces loss in Vidhan Sabha by-elections across the country !! But there's no reason to blame Modi or Modi wave for it or even BJP's stance on Love-Jihad in it !! like some idiot media journalists are doing !! Here r the reasons why I had expected it and Y we cant blame it on Modi :
1) By-Elections do not have the crucial element of ' Government Formation ' like the main elections have !! They usually have no impact on government formation , and thus , the number of people coming out to vote is less than the main elections !! And it is an unwritten rule of Indian elections that BJP always wins when the voting percentage is high , and faces damage to the extent of losing the elections !!
Take for instance Mumbai had a voting percentage of 41% in 2009 and congress-ncp won !! In 2014 , it was 53 % and BJP-ShivSena won all seats !!
2)Many are blaming BJP taking a "stand" against Love Jihad for its debacle in UP !! Which is again false !! Uttar Pradesh has 4 way politics , that is , there are 4 major political parties !! BJP,BSP,SP and Congress !! Now , BSP , which won 0 seats in Lok Sabha Elections , decided not to contest any of the bypolls in UP !! Thus , UP polls became a 3 way fight !! 2 important voters of BSP , dalits n muslims , went to congress n sp respectively !! This ,combined with the factor that the voter turnout was low compared to LS ,helped them gain in UP , just like Lalu-Nitish alliance helped them gain against BJP in Bihar !!
3) as I already said , by-elections do not involve the crucial element of government formation n thus , these elections entirely depend upon local factors !! thus , there is no question of Modi factor playing a role here as Modi is not gonna form any government !!
4) as BJP was holding 26 out of 33 Vidhan Sabha seats that went for by-elections , it was difficult to retain 26 seats !! A seat won in the main election will always be difficult to retain for BJP in by polls !! Take for example , even in Vadodara LS seat , where BJP had won with a margin of 5,70,000 in May , it won with a margin of only 3,28,000 !! bekoz many people who voted in May to form Modi government didnt cum out to vote this time !!
As for the BJP , these results only and only mean that the party cannot afford to relax , as the old enemies like Lalu-Nitish , SP-BSP and in future maybe even Trinamool-CPM may unite and play games like the BSP played this time !! It doesnt mean that Modi-Wave has vanished or punctured !! However , there should not be any over-dependance on Modi Factor !!
Its surprising that how some paid media journalists , are deliberately misguiding people with all their nonsense analysis !! If an ordinary person like me can understand this ,so can they !! Their " Analysis " says that Modi wave is getting punctured n god knows wat !! These people had hailed Rahul Gandhi's leadership when congress had won 2009 elections !!! However , I wonder , y didnt they save the same thing on rahul gandhi ,which they r saying about Modi now , when congress lost 2014 elections so badly !! Within 100 days of takeover of Amit Shah as BJP chief , they are expecting BJP to sweep each and every election !! Any single loss wud mean that " Modi Wave is diminishing " !! These same media " experts " have never ever blamed any debacle of congress on sonia and rahul gandhi !!
The media " experts " say , BJP is nothing without Modi !!

But then , which party is ever powerful without its most popular leader ?? What is SP without Mulayam and family ?? What is BSP without Mayawati ?? What is congress without Gandhi family ?? infact , it was Indian National Congress that played a role in Independence movement !! When Indira Gandhi quit that party in 1969 and formed her own party Congress [R] which later came to b known as Congress [I] , and fought 1971 elections , she defeated the original Congress party , and her party became the present congress !! So When the party which helped bring independence itself lost elections when its most popular leader Indira quit , how does one single out and expect BJP as a party to be more powerful and popular than its most powerful n popular leaders ???? While BJP has atleast produced a wide range of popular leaders , most other parties have only produced popular families !! So how come only single out BJP ??
While its ironic how even many BJP supporters , fall for paid media shit despite knowing that they r paid , I wonder wat these media spokesperson will say about " Modi Wave " if we win Maharashtra and Haryana assemble elections ,which we have huge chances of winning !!

Kahaan Mana Hai ? - Independence Day Special

Maana Bharat langda raha , par Jaipur-foot banna kahaan mana hai !
Mahapuroshon Bhagwano se seechit , aisa mahaan itihaas kahaan bana hai !!

Aao thoda samay nikaale , beete waqt kaa daura karein ,
Jab jhukaaya hamne toofano ko ,un prayaason pe gaur karein !
Jab loota Angrezon ne aise ,khaaye lakde ko dimak jaise ,
Kuch feke tookdon ko chodkar , jaate vilayat saare paise !
Par sehke laathiyon ka vaar , khaayi hamne goliyon ki maar ,
Vyaktigat Sukhon Ko Tyag , lagaayi Azaadi ki naiyya paar !
Kaale Pani ki raaton ke saamne , aaj kaa andhera kahaan ghana hai ,
Maana Bharat langda raha , par Jaipur-foot banna kahaan mana hai !

Sultano ka , Mughalon kaa , shaasan hi kuch aur tha ,
cheen gayi dharm ki azaadi , kattarpanti kaa daur tha !
Vasoola jaata Jaziya maano Hindu hona hi guna tha ,
Iss Anyaay ke ant hetu , honi ne Shivaji ko chuna tha !
Ikkatha kiya Mavalon ko , li Shapath lenge Swaraj ,
Krishna Neeti Aur Bhagirath Prayatno se , feka kroor shasakon kaa taaj !
Shivaji banna mushkil lage toh Maval banna kahaan mana hai ,
Maana Bharat langda raha , par Jaipur-foot banna kahaan mana hai !

Aise anginat udaharon se , bhara jiska itihaas hai ,
Woh hai Bharat Desh , jiski bhoomi hi kuch khaas hai !
Aisi sabhyata ke waaris hokar , hataash ham kaise ho sakte ,
Apne atith se vanchit rehkar , neend mein kaise so sakte !
Jis vyakti ke dimaak mein , Krishna Neeti ko jagah hai ,
Uske prayaason ko kabhi , kismat ne kahaan thaga hai !
Apne jeevankaal se aagey ka , vichaar karna kahaan mana hai ,
Maana Bharat langda raha , par Jaipur-foot banna kahaan mana hai !

Chunaavon ka ballot box , Kurukshetra ka naya vesh hai ,
Imaandaar Arjuno kaa prachaar hi dharm ka aaj sandesh hai !
Jab koi Duryodhan aaj , atyachaar ke ghaav deta hai ,
Aapas mein hi ladvaake , shanti kaa abhaav karta hai ,
Aise rakt risaav ke khilaaf , matdaan hi raktdaan hai !
Isiliye toh kehte hai , Loktantra shreshtha mahaan hai !
Mushkil thi talvaaron se kranti par matdaan karna kahaan mana hai ,
Maana Bharat Langda Raha Par Jaipur-foot banna kahaan mana hai !
